Tom (the dad), Nick (the son) are a father-son duo who bond over the Pittsburgh Steelers through the Steelers Outpost Podcast.  We are part of the Pittsburgh diaspora, living in lands far from Pittsburgh, but still emotionally attached to the Black and Gold. Like the waves of the Terrible Loyalists who dominate foreign stadiums each Sunday, we are acolytes of a winning tradition. We are not mercenary sports writers limited to box scores, statistics and hype. We know the stories and we separate hype from fiction.  Are we conflicted? Of course we are! But like any family, we disagree, we argue, we fight and then we hug it out like bros…because it’s personal.

I’m a third-generation Wahoo who grew up bleeding orange and blue. During school, I was sports editor for the Cavalier Daily, covering the football, men’s basketball, men’s and women’s lacrosse, men’s soccer, and swimming and diving teams over my four years.
